An urban resort with a modern hotel sensibility, THesis Hotel Miami invites you to discover and embrace your personal THesis. Conceived to be a modern-day townsquare and a communal gathering space located at the intersection of three historic neighborhoods: Coral Gables, South Miami, and Coconut Grove. Located inside the THēsis Hotel are multiple dining options by James Beard Nominee and Food + Wine Award-Winning Chef Niven Patel.
With a robust, year-round calendar of programming and events - all open to the public - THēsis is not only a hotel, but a destination that fosters genuine connection and creative expression; a place where curious, like-minded individuals exchange ideas, celebrate art, discover new cultural experiences, and engage with their community. Examples of this include Market @ THesis with produce from Chef Patel's Homestead farm, Rancho Patel. Other activities include fitness programming, education, workshops and live performances on the hotel's Paseo de Riviera.
Mamey is inspired by Chef Patel’s travels throughout Asia, Polynesia and the Caribbean. The restaurant showcases the exotic flavors and spices commonly found in the islands with ingredients sourced directly from Chef’s own two-acre farm, called Rancho Patel which is located an hour south in Homestead, Florida. These farm to table ingredients includes mangoes, eggplant, avocados, beets, various fruits, vegetables and herbs. Mamey's tropical vibes feature both indoor and outdoor seating housed in a stunning oasis that offers an idyllic escape where guests can indulge in flavorful cuisine and refreshing cocktails.
With dinner menu items ranging from $8 to $17 for small bites and salads, larger plates from $17 to $38, and desserts from $12 to $18. Some standout plates include the Glazed Lamb Ribs ($17), local honey, scallions and pickled apple; Local Wahoo Ceviche ($17), Coconut Leche de Tigre, red onion, cachucha peppers, avocado and Cilantro; Jerk Roasted Chicken ($38) with green papaya, coconut and a herb salad; and Lemongrass Glazed Grouper ($32), bok choy, heirloom carrots, bamboo rice and Thai curry.
Orno is a modern neighborhood restaurant focusing on top-notch ingredients and wood-fired cooking, classic cocktails and a thoughtfully crafted wine list. The second restaurant from Chef Patel to open in THēsis Hotel after the popular Mamey Miami, Orno is an open-kitchen concept that provides guests with an elevated, inviting, and interactive experience that pairs woodfire dishes with the restaurant's refined, hand-crafted cocktails inspired by literary classics.
With a menu carefully curated by Patel, the restaurant's cuisine is part modern American, part steakhouse with high-end seafood and seasonal produce weaved throughout, creating a farm-to-table experience using only locally sourced ingredients from Chef's own Rancho Patel farm located just up the road in Homestead, Florida.
Orno’s design evokes a chic and sophisticated yet laid back atmosphere with the dining room featuring a naturally sourced ingredient wall display. The dramatic bar allows guests to watch their favorite cocktails being crafted and libations poured next to the notable 600 bottle wine cellar. Focused on merging creativity with a respect for traditional dishes, Orno offers a revolving menu that will be constantly changing for a gastronomic discovery at every dine.
